Amber's party was a HUGE success!

We had horrible weather on Saturday but still 50+ people were able to make it over for the celebration.

It's hard to believe but our little angel turns a year old this Friday.  She is doing VERY well and there's no evidence that Amber ever had the struggles she endured in the beginning.

She now weighs 18lbs 2ounces and that's even down a few ounces from where she was a couple of weeks ago.

Amber is doing GREAT!

She had her 9 month checkup a little over a week ago and the doctors and nurses were amazed at how well she has progressed.  Her "corrected age" is 6 months but she is behaving at a 7, 8 and 9 month old in several areas.

The physical therapist noted the way Amber holds her arms is the only sign that indicates she's a preemie.  We were given stretching exercises to do with Amber in order to correct this. 

Amber now weighs 16 lbs and 10 oz and is 2

It's been a while since we've posted an entry. 

Amber had her ears pierced last week (9/11) and she reacted in typical fashion.  Pam tells the story better as she was there.  I wasn't because I couldn't bear to be in the room.

Amber now weighs 16 lbx 1 oz.  She's sleeping better but still gets up a couple times each night for feeding.  She's not crawling yet but moves around pretty well (flipping over, etc.)

Amber saw her first Browns game last night.  She was dressed for the occassion.

Pam had the house decorated with Browns signs, stickers, and rugs.  Amber and Jazmine (Kristen isn't home this week) were "ready for some football".  See photos here.

Amber had a follow-up eye appointment this morning (from the surgery she had back in March).  Amber's eyes for the most part are pretty good.  However, it's been discovered that she has nearsightedness in her right eye and will eventually need corective lenses.

Amber had more shots last week as part of a regular checkup.  She's still doing well and now weighs 14lbs 8oz.

No real updates to give.  Amber is doing very well.

Amber turned 6 months old yesterday.  She had a doctor's appointment this morning and the medical staff is very pleased with her progress.

Amber is now 23.25 inches long and weighs 13lbs 10oz.  She can now move from the special Similac Neosure formula to Similac Advanced as she no longer needs the calorie booster.

Amber is more playful than ever and smiles and laughs all the time.  She has indeed come a long way.

Amber is still doing very well.  She has come so far from when she was born.  Looking at her now you could never tell she had such a struggle in the beginning.

She plays, laughs, and is doing all the things a normal healthy baby does.
